I love meeting people who are passionate about what they do and on a dreary Wednesday in Covent Garden I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Maitri of honeyIdressedthepug.com. I’ve wanted to meet this dream team ever since their vibrantly cheerful images of one lucky (15kg!) pug graced my Instagram feed.
A little over one year since the launch of ‘honeyIdressedthepug’ and the dynamic duo(Maitri and Ari) have amassed a sizeable audience of dog and fashion lovers alike.
Adapting to her location, Maitri started her blog followed more recently by AriandM.com after moving to London three years ago. She had previously worked as a fashion designer and stylist in Mumbai and then continued her studies in Trade and Marketing in New York. I was half expecting her to whip out a Wonder Woman cape at any given moment. But no, she is actually just a regular human – dammit.
We discussed imagery and the importance of FLOORS! Whilst Edition 12 have barely left the social media starting line (we’re getting there... it’s a marathon and all that), Maitri and Ari are lapping many other brands with their stream of colourful and engaging content.
Whilst this was a pooch free zone (I would describe Central London at rush hour as being a sweaty mass of moving bodies all very close together) so the dogs opted out. However, Frankie did not leave empty pawed, he received a beautiful bandana in a zig-zag print, finished with nothing less that a green pom-pom! And you know what… I think he’s walking taller.
I’m sucker for branding and quality and this little treat did not disappoint. I dare you not to smile and go ‘awww’ upon receiving an ‘AriandM’ purchase.
Thank you AriandM, I wish you the absolute best of luck with your venture and travels, may you continue to produce beautiful products and inspire others.
